International Centre visits the World Human Rights Cities Forum 2024

The City of Graz was represented by the International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels and the University of Graz at this year’s World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF), which took place in Gwangju, Republic of Korea on October 10 and 11, 2024.

The topic of the international event was “Civic Space and Human Rights.” During the two-day exchange with representatives of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), UNESCO, the global association of local authorities – the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), cities and other stakeholders, it was once again confirmed that Graz sets international standards as a human rights city and plays a pioneering role globally in this regard. The valuable experience of the city of Graz was highlighted in particular by a representative of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
