International Centre visits the World Human Rights Cities Forum 2024
The City of Graz was represented by the International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels and the University of Graz at this year’s World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF), which took place in Gwangju, Republic of Korea on October 10 and 11, 2024.
Finnish government delegation visits International Centre
On 13 and 14 June 2024, the International Centre in Graz welcomed a delegation from the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Justice, and Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and experiences in preventing racism and advancing human rights at the local level.
Delegation visit from the National Human Rights Commission of Korea
In late August 2023, the International Centre in Graz welcomed a delegation from the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) to exchange ideas, approaches, as well as challenges and successful case studies pertaining to the advancement of human rights at the local level.
Enhancing human rights capacity-building for local governments
Cities lead by example when it comes to transparent, participatory and accountable governance including budgets in order to build urban societies free from fear and free from want.
