Ukrainian Study Group Explores Human Rights Localisation in Graz
On November 25th, the City of Graz welcomed a distinguished Ukrainian study group as part of a programme organised by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI). The visit focused on exploring Graz’s pioneering role as a Human Rights City and its practical implementation of human rights at the local level.
ECCAR General Assembly 2025: Advancing Anti-Racism Across European Cities
From October 23–24, 2025, the City of Zürich hosted the General Assembly of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR). The event brought together over 190 participants from 86 cities across 15 European countries. The General Assembly served as a vibrant exchange platform, celebrating progress and strengthening collective efforts to combat racism in Europe’s cities.
UNESCO Centre and Chair Engage with UNESCO School Teachers on the Human Right to Linguistic Diversity
On 16 October 2025, the UNESCO Centre and UNESCO Chair, represented by Dr. Klaus Starl and Prof. Gerd Oberleitner, were invited to discuss the human right to linguistic diversity and its importance in foreign language teaching with teachers from Austrian UNESCO schools.
